Clo (Jeff Odachowski) is an alien, yet of the benign variety, who has
come to earth in human form to assess humankind - and he has fallen in
love with Trish (Emily Rhoads) and vice versa, and eventually he
impregnated her, but then had to leave our planet before the young one was
even born. Naturally, the authorities are not happy about any of this when
they find out, but by then Trish has long gone into hiding. But while
human authorities might have drawn a blank with finding Trish and the
baby, there's now an alien, the Huntress (Lindsey Bean) after them, and
she stops at nothing, least of all murder, and can read minds, too. But
she's not invulnerable, and while Trish is certainly good at hiding, to
defend herself against the huntress, she needs a friend, Jeff (Roberto
Lombardi), who has known Clo back when and who now stands beside Trish -
but it stands to reason whether these two are enough to defeat an
almost-all-powerful alien ... Originally intended as a movie [Chris
R. Notarile's First Born interview - click here], First
Born eventually saw the light of day as a photo novel - and despite
the change of medium, writer/director Chris R. Notarile doesn't miss a
beat, creating a well-structured and atmospheric sci-fi action adventure,
taking advangage of the possibilities of the new medium while putting his
obvious expertise of comic books to good use. And the result is one
compelling story that makes one longing for more ...
