Your upcoming Caesar and Otto's Paranormal Halloween - in a
few words, what is it about?
Caesar & Otto find themselves house
sitting the Governor's summer home when evidences of a haunting
begin. Your sources of inspiration
when writing Caesar and Otto's Paranormal Halloween? Everything
from the The Shining to the
Halloween series to
Dumb and Dumber. The
inspiration isn't the Haunted House-series or Repossessed but rather something very wholly unique. With
Caesar and Otto's Paranormal Halloween being the fourth
Caesar
and Otto-movie - how do you feel have the characters and the
humour of the series evolved over the years? It's always a
matter of trying to take the comedy and the characters two or
three steps further with each installment. The movies have gotten much
deeper and more satirical over the years.

Dave Campfield (Caesar) |
The
previous Caesar
and Otto-movies haven't exactly shied away from quite a bit of
gore - anything along those lines you have planned for the new one you'd
like to share? Let's just say
Governor Jerry Grayson's annual Halloween party ends in a blood bath
that's unparalleled in the Caesar
and Otto film series. What can you tell us about the overall
intended look and feel of your movie? Think
the visual style of Insidious meets... Dumb and Dumber. Yes, I'm
insane. That's already been established. Anything you can
tell us about your key cast yet, and why exactly these people?
The
plan is to have all the characters that have been there from the
beginning. Caesar, Otto (Paul Chomicki), Jerry (Ken Macfarlane), and their
Dad (Scott Aguilar) amongst others. Samantha Barrios (Roberta) and
Avi K. Garg (Drew) became part of the sequels and also return. I feel
like each actor brings their own distinct quality to their character and
it makes for a wonderfully diverse cast. Plus they're all just a hell
of a lot of fun to work with. The
star cameos are to be determined.
As
far as I know, Caesar and Otto's Paranormal Halloween is as of yet
still in its fundraising stages - so what can you tell us about your
fundraising efforts? I don't
have star power. And the distributors I work with don't provide
production funds. I'm borderline destitute, so for the time being,
crowdfunding is my best alternative. We're half way through, and so
far, we're exceeded my expectations. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/caesar-otto-s-paranormal-halloween
One of the perks of your fundraiser
is to participate in every aspect of the creation of a Caesar
and Otto-short - you just have to explain in more detail! It's
indieGoGo's first fully interactive movie. Just imagine a short movie
where most lines are written by the audience. Buy a line for any member of
the cast, and I have to make it work. Want Felissa Rose [Felissa
Rose interview - click here], Deron Miller,
Brinke Stevens [Brinke Stevens
interview - click here] OR Caesar and Otto to say whatever line's floating around
in your head. Choose the dialog perk and make it happen.

Once
your funds are raised, what's the schedule, and any idea when and where
the film might be released onto the general public yet? Shooting
is this Novemeber and December, then it will be released in the fall of 2015. Any
future projects beyond Caesar and Otto's Paranormal Halloween?
Fear the Reaper. A dramatic
horror/thriller that's been in the works for years. And if all goes
according to plan, I want to take on the next installment of the Caesar
and Otto series thereafter.
